Pierce High School to Host Blood Drive

Cassandra Gonzalez
WPR Student Reporter

Pierce High School will be hosting the local Blood Source blood drive on Friday, March 30th at 11:00 am to 3:00pm. The event will take place in the North Gym. Everyone in the county is welcome to participate. If you are under the age of sixteen you must bring a parent or have written permission to participate. There will be nurses there to take blood and keep everything organized. Student volunteers will be helping pass out snacks and keep other students, who are giving blood, in order. The community is encouraged to donate blood if eligible, but don’t forget to eat something and drink lots of water before hand. Remember, every donation saves approximately three lives, so join us at pierce and don’t forget to bring a friend. If you have any questions you can reach an official to answer any questions you may have at 866-822-5663 or for more information go to www.bloodsource.org. ■
