Darryl Dwayne Byrd

50, of Colusa, CA, passed away on April 22, 2012. He was born August 22, 1961, in Colusa and was a lifelong Colusa County resident.
Darryl graduated from Williams High School and then completed trade school, specializing in Ag Mechanics. He worked as a mechanic and service manager for Ambac Equipment Company (later becoming Bianchi Ag Services, LLC) for 27 years. He was a board member with the Williams Community Church and formerly served as a Deacon with the First Baptist Church in Colusa. Darryl enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking with his son, Josh, and was known as a master craftsman.
Survivors include his loving wife of 20 years, Pam Byrd of Colusa, Son Josh Byrd of Colusa, Sister Sharon Bowles of Virginia, Niece Lisa Smith and her husband Chris of Virginia, Nephew Doug Brace and his wife Michelle of Florida. Darryl was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Ermadean Byrd, and his brother Jerry Byrd.
A memorial celebration of Darryl’s life is scheduled to be held 10:30a.m. on Saturday, April 28th, at the Williams Community Church, 315 9th Street Williams, CA. Burial will follow at the Williams Cemetery, 2438 Zumwalt Road, Williams. There will be a reception at the Williams Community Church after the burial service.
Darryl was a devoted husband and father. He will be greatly missed, but his family will cherish the memories of being together with him and will hold him dear in their hearts.
