Williams Prepares to Welcome Fallen Hero Home

It has been a long wait for the Lopez family as delays preventing their son from arriving home.

Rueben “boy” Lopez will arrive at Beale Air Force Base on Monday, August 22 at 12:25pm. Williams residents will hear a long fire horn notifying that Ruben will soon be on his way thorough Williams. It is estimated that the horn will ring when the Williams Fire Department passes over the Sutter/Colusa County Line.

Several local law enforcement agencies will be escorting Lopez’s casket from Beale Air Force Base through Colusa to Williams.

The procession will travel down E Street, through Williams as friends, family, and fellow citizens honor his sacrifice.

A public memorial service will be held for Lopez at 10 a.m. Tuesday August 23, at St. Bernadette’s Hall in Colusa.
