CITY OF WILLIAMS – PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

On May 23, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., in City Hall of the City of Williams, a Public Hearing will be held for the purpose of:

The proposed assessment for residential lots is to be $158.76 for Fiscal Year 2012-13 in the City of Williams Landscaping and Lighting District No. 97-01.

On April 18, 2012, pursuant to City Resolution 12-07 the City Council of the City of Williams initiated proceedings and declared its intention to levy an assessment against the assessable lots of property within the Landscape and Lighting District No.97-01 pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, Part 2 of Division 15 of the California Streets and Highways Code, starting with Section 22500, for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2013, and ordered a Public Hearing to be held on these proposed assessments.

The Council is authorized by law to levy and collect assessments within the District to pay for the costs and expenses of the improvements described in the Engineers’ Report.  At the Public Hearing, all interested persons are given the opportunity to hear and be heard regarding the levy and collection of the proposed assessments against the lots of property within the District.  A copy of the Engineer’s Report is available for inspection at City Hall, 810 E Street, Williams, 530-473-2955.
