Staff Report – Lloyd Green Jr. | August 25, 2011 4:06pm

On Thursday, August 25, at approximately 11:12 am the Colusa County Sheriffs Department responded to the Colusa Casino Resort after reports of a male subject with a gunshot wound to the head. Upon arrival deputies found a male subject in the North East Parking lot next to a travel trailer attached to a Chevrolet Bronco.

Unsure if the trailer was occupied, deputies approached the trailer and found it to be empty.

The unidentified 57-year-old male subject, whose name is being withheld withheld pending notification of family, was found with a single gunshot wound to the head with the weapon close to the subject.

“The subject was parked around other trailers and vehicles earlier in the day,” said Sheriffs Lt. Shane Maxey. “Witnesses made and attempt to speak with the male subject earlier in the day but appeared to be somber and not very communicative.”

A note was located inside the trailer but no details were provided.

There were no apparent signs of foul play.

The victims last known residence was in the state of Washington.
