Supervisors Mark Marshall and Gary Evans commented this week on the appreciation they have for all of those groups and individuals who have stepped up to help in the wake of the Sites Complex and Mill fires.
“Our local government, California Highway Patrol, Colusa County Sheriff’s Department and Glenn County Sheriff’s Department along with the CalFire and all local and surrounding fire departments have worked diligently to contain these fires which are such a tragedy to our county,” said Marshall.
“Gary and I, on behalf of the Colusa County Board of Supervisors would like to acknowledge how much we appreciate what as been done, and to add that the efforts by the 44th District Agricultural Association (DAA) as well as Rick Kunze and ColusaNET have made a huge difference in the fire fighting coordination effort,” said Marshall.
He added that the citizens who have been impacted by the fires and the smoke have been most patient.
“We aware that it is times like these when the people of Colusa County truly band together and help their neighbors.”
“If I have forgotten to mention anyone, I apologize,” said Marshall. ■
