Colusa Community to Host Harvest Festival

photoThe Community of Colusa and the Colusa County Chamber will be hosting a Harvest Festival in downtown Colusa on October 12th.

From 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. the event will celebrate the harvest season with a wide variety of local art and craft, food vendors; in addition to games and activities for children.

“The event is a family friendly event,” said Lori Garofalo, the Harvest Festival Press Representative, “It is an event to bring the community together.”

The event is organized by Stephanie Ponciano, of Colusa,” Garofalo stated, “having attended similar event in other areas, Ponciano believed that Colusa was the right choice to host such an event.’

“Downtown Colusa is full of beautiful historic buildings, giving it the right atmosphere.” Garofalo added.

The event will be hosted at the Colusa County Courthouse Park.

The group is still seeking local vendor applicants who wish to participate. The cost is $10 per vendor space. For more information about becoming a vendor please contact Vicki Wiloh at (530) 277-4347 or pick-up an application at All Star Realty.

In addition to fun activities and an shoppers emporium, the Colusa County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a ‘Scarecrow Walk’ in connection with the event.

Local business are welcome to participate by crafting a unique scarecrow and displaying it along Market Street during the event. Winners will be selected by the choice of the people and will be announced at 1:00 P.M.
