Linnie Mae Dennis (1928-2015)

OBIT - Linnie-DennisLinnie Mae Dennis, 86, of Arbuckle went to walk with Jesus on August 13, 2015.

Born on February 29, 1928, to George and Clara Ellis of Roanoke, Va. Linnie was the 4th of 5 children.

In 1954, Linnie moved to California with her husband, Wilburn Dennis and raised five children.

Linnie was known for her big smile, sweet hugs and love for her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was a stay at home mother who could often be found cooking and cleaning to country music or watching her hero ‘Chuck Norris’.

Linnie is survived by her daughters Clara Ruttedge, Annie English, Frances Dennis, Dodie Dowden, and her son Bruce Dennis. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren – all who adored her. She will also be remembered by several extended family members who loved her as their own.

She is preceded in death by her husband, both parents, a brother and sister, and son-in-law Rick Dowden. Linnie was also met at the pearly gates by her grandsons Donny and Timothy Rutledge and her best friend, Patty Anderson.

Graveside Services will be held at the Arbuckle Cemetery on September 6, 2015, at 12:30 PM. A celebration of life will follow at the Arbuckle Golf Club.

The family would like to thank Sutter North Hospice for the love and kindness they have shown.
