The Colusa County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of BFF Ceramics and Bears in downtown Colusa.

On Wednesday, August 26, 2015, chamber members, friends, family and customers took time out of their afternoon to welcome Proprietors Ruby Hodges and Annette Oswald to the business community.

BFF Ceramics and Bears provides the opportunity for community members to create unique gifts and home décor in a relaxing, creative atmosphere.

We have piggy banks, to plates, bowls, cups, lady bugs, unicorns, mermaids, and other unique gift items,” said Hodges, “you can let your imagination just go wild in here.”

Hodges also commented that if you are looking for something specific, she can locate it and have it ready for you to paint and she has added more inventory to choose from.

“Many people are afraid to paint ceramics because they feel like they need to know how to do it or that they will mess up,” said Hodges, “I can help them out and provide instruction and my goal is to allow each person’s individual creativity shine.”

Hodges also mentioned that groups can host ceramic painting parties.

“We have a great variety of projects that would be great for Girl Scout or Boy Scout craft projects,” said Hodges, “I would also like to offer a provide opportunities for area schools.”

BFF Ceramics and Bears is unlike any other ceramics store, as Hodges commented that there are no hidden fees.

“We don’t charge for firings or painting of your items,” said Hodges.
BFF Ceramics and Bears is located at 147 5th Street in Downtown Colusa and is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
