Colusa City Police Extends Safety Warning to Parents

In an effort to keep children safe, the Colusa City Police Department issued a precaution to parents during school drop-off.

“We realize the large volume of vehicles trying to get in and out of the schools in a short period leads to congestion. But we need to ask that parents, please take the extra few seconds and not to park or stop in the red zones or even in the middle of the road to drop off your children,” said the Colusa City Police Department on its Social Networking Page.

The department has seen an increase in vehicles violating safety measures.

“These violations can lead to citations and not to mention the potential road hazard when your children exit your vehicle in the middle of the road,” the Department Commented.

“The Colusa Police Department takes a serious approach to the safety of your children,” said the Colusa City Police, “We thank you for your cooperation. Please help us keep your children safe.”
