Florencio Valadez Corona (1931-2015)

OBIT - CoronaFlorencio Valadez Corona passed away at the age of 84 at his home in Arbuckle on October 12, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Tecacho  Michoacan, Mexico, on February 23, 1931 to the late Alejandro & Eufrocina Corona.

Florencio lived in Arbuckle for 53 years, where 28 of those years following his grandfather’s footsteps worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad, where he retired in 1991. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Arbuckle.  He enjoyed gardening, bingo and liked horses, music and the rodeo.

Florencio is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Leonor A. Corona, and his children , Jose Corona of Arbuckle,; Juan Corona of Arbuckle,; Filiberto Corona of College City,; Merced Corona of Arbuckle,; Alejandro Corona of Salinas,;  Manuel Corona of Yuba City,;  Enedina Medina of Arbuckle,; Olivia Reyes of Arbuckle. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 32 Great-grandchildren

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th from 5-8pm., with rosary at 7pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Arbuckle.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th at 10:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Arbuckle. Burial to follow at Arbuckle Cemetery.
