With only 36-days to Christmas, Santa Claus is working overtime to meet the demands and needs of the world’s children.
In the spirit of helping Santa, and ensuring Christmas will be a happy one for many local children, the California Highway Patrol and Impact Life Thrift Store have teamed up and begun accepting donations for their annual toy drive.
Collection bins for the annual “Toys for Kids, Colusa County” Toy Drive will start appearing at several local businesses on Thursday, November 19.
“With the tremendous support from the community, last year we were able to provide a new toy to over 500 children in Colusa County,” said Impact Thrift Store Manager, Amy Gerard.
Both Gerard and Officer Kristin Murphy of the Williams Area CHP will have placed 20 bins at select locations in Williams, Maxwell, Colusa, and Arbuckle.
“The Impact Colusa County is a great organization, and the CHP is more than happy to assist with their program,” said Murphy.
The California Highway Patrol has assisted Impact Thrift Store over the last several years by distributing collection bins as part of the department ‘CHiP’s for Kids’ program.
With the holiday season upon us, the CHP and the Impact Store want to do its part to ensure all Colusa County children have a holiday season to remember.
