What a wonderful time of the year! No matter what you call it- “Old Tyme Christmas” – or “Christmas Tyme in Colusa”, everyone appeared to have a wonderful time during the downtown annual holiday event.

The weather set the perfect tone Saturday, December 5, 2015, as Market Street filled with community members bundled in winter coats, mittens, and knitted caps.

Shoppers shopped the local merchants and browsed craft vendors for that unique gift this holiday season while others sought out ‘good eats’ with food vendors.

Santa Claus made an appearance with the help of the Colusa City Fire Department, taking the time to pose with children and take the last moment opportunity to ask for that special gift.

After visiting Santa, children were wowed with various games and activities in the Davison Drug parking lot. With outdoor bowling from Riverside Lanes, a quick dance in the snow, and beautiful face paintings were just some of the activities.

The Colusa County Library opened its doors to patrons, hosting a book sale and warming guests with hot cocoa. While parents and children waited to warm up, they learned how to create paper chains and festive paper holiday creations.

It goes without saying, but the Christmas Tyme in Colusa event is an event many look forward to each year.

Mini Miss Colusa County, Holley Hickel and Miss Colusa County Madison Rainsbarger, stopped by to select the winner of the ‘Rimfire CZ 455 FS .22 Rifle’ donated by Kittles Outdoor. Leslie Pingrey was the lucky recipient.

The Colusa Theater was filled to the brim as family and friends watched the Stardust Dancers perform a holiday theme dance recital.
