Tutor Training to be Held at Colusa Branch Library

The Colusa County Free Library’s Literacy Program marks its 30th year with a biannual Tutor Training given by Literacy Council member and tutor, Donna Critchfield. Critchfield has been a tutor and Tutoring Instructor for the program, since its inception in 1986.

The Tutor Training is to be held on January 8 & 9, 2016 at the Colusa County Library (738 Market St, Colusa).

To become a Literacy Program tutor, you must be at least 16 years of age, have the ability to speak, read and write in English, and be able to donate one hour per week in the tutoring of an assigned student.

If you are interested but cannot attend the training on the set dates, this can be accommodated.

Please contact the Literacy Coordinator, Alissa Morrow, at (530) 458-0373, for more information.  When you help someone to read, you change a life!■
