Two injured in Gridley Road rollover

Two people were injured in a rollover crash on Gridley Road Christmas Eve morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash happened just after 6:25 AM, when Kevin Coletti, 30, of San Francisco, was driving eastbound in a 2001 GMC Sierra pick-up on Gridley Road. For unknown reasons, Coletti allowed the vehicle to travel off the roadway and onto the right shoulder.

According to investigators, Coletti over-corrected and caused the vehicle to spin out of control and subsequently overturning into a nearby field.

Two passengers were injured as a result of the collision.

Walter Coletti, 75, of Colusa, was ejected from the vehicle through the right side passenger window and suffered minor injuries. He was transported to Colusa Regional Medical Center.

Mark Ryan, 20, of Concord, was seated in the center seat position, and suffered major injuries to his right leg and was transported by air ambulance to Enloe Hospital in Chico. The CHP commented that Ryan was not wearing a seat belt.
