Sacramento man killed in solo vehicle collision

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Highway 20 just east of Highway 16 on Sunday, December 27, 2015, just after 3:30 PM.

Investigators say, Mark Bryner, 44, of Sacramento, was driving westbound on Highway 20, east of Highway 16, in a 2001 Toyota Avalon and, for unknown reasons, Bryner made an unsafe turning movement and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle struck a tree and overturned. Bryner was ejected from the vehicle.

According to the CHP, several passing motorists stopped to assist and render medical aid while emergency crews were in route. The Williams Fire

Department arrived on scene and administered CPR. Bryner succumbed to his injuries.

According to the California Highway Patrol, it is unknown at the time of press if alcohol was a contributing factor and the collision is under investigation by the Williams Area CHP Office. Anyone having information regarding this collision, contact the Williams Area CHP Office at (530) 473-2821.■
