Williams Continue Discussion on Medical Marijuana

As the deadline lingers for local agencies to make a quick decision on medical marijuana in their communities; the City of Williams continues its discussion on the topic during a special meeting helding TONIGHT, Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 6:30 PM at City Hall.

The special meeting was called during the January Regular City Council Meeting when council members could not come to agreement on the hot topic.

Local agencies have been scrambling the last few weeks to expand their current ordinances on Medical Marijuana in their communities after the Medical Marijuana Regulation and Safety Act provided a deadline of March 1, 2016. However; at the time of press, current legislation remains on the California Governor’s desk to repeal the March 1 deadline allowing local agencies more time and not make haste decisions in order to maintain control over Medical Marijuana in their communities.
