The area’s newest Eagle Scout is Colusa High School senior Alexander Frank, whose Court of Honor was held Saturday at the Scout Cabin in Colusa.

His Boy Scout Troop, 5, lead by Amy Gerrard served as the master of ceremonies as troop members did the flag ceremony. Troop Member Sam Stocks provided the invocation. Ron Ryan, Butte Area District Unit Commissioner, proclaimed the Eagle Court of Honor.

Frank received his Eagle Scout Neckerchief by Eagle Scouts Daniel Sanchez and Spencer Stocks. He then received his Eagle Scout pin and certificate from his parents Benet and Tony Guidera,

Frank gave special recognition to his stepfather Tony Guidera, his uncle Jerry, and his Troop Leader Amy Gerrard during the ceremony by presenting each with an honorary lapel pin. He also gave thanks to fellow Troop members for their support.

His Eagle project involved over 250 hours at the Colusa County Animal Shelter where he made dog beds as well as constructed concrete slabs for kennels.

The Colusa Scout Troop 5 is open to all Boys in Colusa County and are welcomed to attend any troop meeting with a parent. Meetings are listed on the Community Calendar. For information call Troop 5 Colusa Scoutmaster Amy Gerrard troop5colusa@hotmail.com.
