Colusa County Fair Pageant applications available; deadline approaching

Application deadlines for pageants are coming up in April, said Colusa County Fair CEO, Jonathan Howard.

Application forms, rules, and general requirements are available online; however, Howard commented that he will be visiting County Schools with information. Forms can be downloaded by visiting www.colusacountyfair.com.

Mini Miss & Miss Colusa County

The Miss and Mini Miss Colusa County Scholarship Pageant provides an opportunity to enhance personal development in the areas of poise, self-confidence, communication skills, and good sportsmanship.

The competition is not a beauty contest, but rather a program that fosters youth accomplishments, community service, academic achievement, and recognition for excellence.

The Colusa County Fair Mini Miss Pageant is designed as an exciting addition to our annual Fair. All contestants receive a memento of the pageant plus a pass to the 2016 Fair.

Completed entry forms for Miss Colusa County Scholarship Pageant must be received at the Colusa County Fair office no later than 5 PM on April 15, 2016. Mini Miss applications must be received at the fair office no later than 5 PM on April 7, 2016.

The Mini-Miss pageant will take place at 7 PM on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Miss Colusa County pageant will begin at 8 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2016.

Mr. Cinderfella Pageant

The Mr. Cinderfella pageant, in its third year of popularity at the fair, is a male version spoof of “beauty contest”. Entries are limited to students from one of the five Colusa County High Schools. The school attended by the student named Mr. Cinderfella will receive the prize money.

Mr. Cinderfella applications are due at the fair office by 4 PM on April 25, 2016, and will be held at 8:30 PM on Friday, June 10, 2016.

All pageants will take place on the Grandstand Stage.
