Friends of the Library Invite Young Adults to Author Evening

The Friends of the Colusa County Library will be hosting its ‘Young Adult Author’s Night’ on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at the Colusa County Library, 738 Market Street, in Colusa, starting at 6:30 PM.

Three authors of young adult fiction Alexis Bass, Jessica Taylor, and Stephanie Garber will share their writing processes, inspirations, journeys to publication, and why they write for teens. They will also offer advice for teen writers.

Jessica Taylor adores sleepy southern settings, unrequited love, and characters who sneak out late at night. After graduating from law school, she realized she rather write her stories than read dusty law books. Taylor lives in Northern California with her sweet-yet-spoiled dog and several teetering towers of books. Taylor will be presenting her book, ‘Wandering Wild’. Alexis Bass grew up in Washington, went to college in Arizona and spent her early 20s in Seattle. She currently lives in Northern California with her fiancé and their gorgeous and rambunctious golden retriever. She loves good fashion and good TV as much as a good book. Bass is also a huge advocate for the three C’s: coffee, chocolate, and cheese. Bass will be presenting her books ‘Love and Other Theories’, and ‘What’s Broken Between us’. Stephanie Garber loves Disneyland because it’s the one place on earth where she feels as if the fantastical stories she loves to write about could come to life. When she’s not writing young adult fantasy, she can be found blogging on PUB(LISHING) CRAWL. Garber will present her book ‘Caraval’.
