A 44-year-old Williams man was arrested on Saturday, following the report of an ongoing sexual assault on two juveniles, said the Williams Police Department in a press release.
According to Williams Police Chief, John Osbourn, police deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Venice Blvd.,regarding an unknown type sex crime. The Officer launched an investigation after a juvenile alleged that an adult roommate in the home inappropriately touched the juvenile. The Juvenile is under the age of 14 years old.
During the course of the investigation, the officials learned the suspect to be 44 year-old, Williams resident, Jesus Reyes.
As the investigation continued, the officer discovered a second victim at the resident, a juvenile under the age of 18 years old, and revealed that Reyes had inappropriately touched and sexually abused the victim over the past three months.
Reyes was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Colusa County Jail on felony charges of lewd acts upon a child, threaten crime with the intent to terrorize, sexual battery, to annoy or molest children under the age of 18, and the revocation of probation.
The Williams Police Department activated numerous service agencies, to support both victims and family members in this investigation, including Colusa County Child Protective Services, and the Colusa County Multi-Disciplinary Interview Center Team.
“The investigation is dynamic and continuing at this time, as is the support of the victims, and the victim families,” said Osbourn.
