Benefit Drive Held for Hospital Employees

DSC06671A total of $3,100 was raised Saturday, April 23, 2016, in an effort to provide temporary relief to the hundreds of employees who lost their jobs as a result of the hospital closing. Members of the Colusa County Behavioral Health Crisis Center, Safe Haven Drop-in-center, the Colusa Fire Department and members of Wells Fargo Bank joined together and hosted the benefit drive the four-way stop located at 5th and Market Streets in downtown Colusa.

The Colusa County Employees Association seeded the benefit with $500 and the group of volunteers and community members raised $2,600 from passersby’s during Saturday’s event.

The funds will be distributed to over 100 eligible employees at Colusa Regional Medical Center during their employee picnic held on May 1.

If you would like to contribute to the fund, stop by the Colusa Branch of Wells Fargo and ask to make a contribution to the Colusa Regional Medical Center Employee Relief Fund. Funds will be collected until, Friday, April 29, 2016
