The Pacific Flyway Quilters spotlighted its annual opportunity quilt during May Surprise last Saturday.
Called, the “Colusa Barn Dance”, the king size quilt is made up of Log Cabin blocks as well as Barn Blocks. E
“Each barn has its own quilt block in the barn door,” said Yvonne Phenicie, President of the Pacific Flyway Quilt Guild.
The quilt was designed and stitched by Yvonne Phenicie and machine quilted by Mary Womble, both of Colusa.
“The quilt was designed with the theme of this years quilt show to be held in October,” said Phenicie.
The Pacific Flyway Quilters Guild Quilt Show is titled “Farm + Fabric = Family”, and will be held at the Community Center Building at the Colusa County Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 1, 2016.
“It will be a one day show with many quilts on display as well as a special exhibit of “Tramp Art” made by David Womble using nothing but found items,” said Phenicie, “you should come check it out!”
The quilt show will also feature There will also be raffle baskets full of wonderful quilting related items.
