Local proprietor, Lori Garofalo will be spending her Thursday evenings out at the Colusa Certified Farmers Market and offering a delicious offering of fresh jams, jellies, dips and rice soup mixes.

“We also will have a variety of fresh baked pies, cookies, and breads,” said Garofalo.

Garofalo also commented that she tries to make her items with locally sourced products as much as possible.

“I plan on having something new each week,” she said.

During last Thursdays market, the crowd was a plenty seeking out the delicious home baked snicker-doodles and chocolate chip cookies.

“I will take special requests from people as well,” said Garofalo.

Just a few years ago, Garden Gleanings proprietor Geneva Unruh started her nursery and began participating in the Colusa Farmers Market.

“Colusa has been really good to me,” said Unruh, “I enjoy coming out to the market.”

Garden Gleanings offers a wide variety of plants, flowers, and shrubs. She even offers unique varieties and garden supplies.

“We can special order plants, and one of the few that offer David Austin English Roses,” said Unruh.

Unruh commented that she loves fairy gardens and carries many supplies for them.

“I have a wide range of succulents and plants that go great for fairy gardens,” said Unruh, “I even have some unique accessories.”
