Williams High School Students Honored with Seal of Biliteracy

2016 - Williams Biliteracy Program 3Eight Williams High School Seniors were recently awarded the Seal of Biliteracy during a special ceremony held on Monday, May 27, 2016.

Michael West, Colusa County Superintendent of School, recognized the students who’ve studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation.

Those students recognized were: Ana Karen Alcaraz, Mario Camarena, Cuitlahuac Cruz, Yuliana Mora, Maricruz Oviedo, Brian Paiz, Estrella Ramírez, Herendida Rivera.

The Seal of Biliteracy takes the form of a gold seal that appears on the transcript or diploma of the graduating senior and is a statement of accomplishment for future employers and college admissions.
