Mario Olivares was a man that exuded a life full of passion and integrity. He triumphed over adversity, always encouraging others to reach for their dreams and persevere. He knew that God had a purpose for everyone and that He created us all with gifts and talents that were meant to be shared with the world.
He served thousands of patients as a pharmacist at Kaiser Permanente for 33 years. He spent countless hours with patients not only as their pharmacist but as their friend. He used his talent and love of music to play his guitar for patients in the hospital because he believed in the healing power of music. He always said that music has no barriers, it doesn’t discriminate, it crosses all divides and has the power to move the soul in a way that no other medium can.
Mario Olivares’ legacy lives on through his music and the family he loved.
