Last Thursday evening, Redding Bank of Commerce celebrated the opening and remodel of its Colusa branch.
“We are excited to be a part of the community and to showcase the recent renovation,” said Vice President and Financial Center Manager Leticia Cedillo.
Located at 558 Market Street in Colusa, Redding Bank of Commerce was once home to Bank of America.
“We acquired five branches from Bank of America and Colusa was one of them,” said Redding Bank of Commerce President and CEO Randy Eslick.
Eslick commented during the transition of each branch the local staff were able to determine the new look and art of their workplace.
“We want each branch to fit within their community,” said Eslick. “Colusa did a great job of representing their community well.”
Some changes include new counters, computing equipment, desks, chairs, cabinetry, flooring, and carpentry.
Members of the community and the chamber of commerce were invited to take a tour of the banking facility and to get to know its employees.
“We have five employees including myself,” said Cedillo. “I enjoy working for [Redding Bank of Commerce] because they are community oriented.”
Colusa County Chamber of Commerce Historian John Morton presented Eslick and Cedillo with the history of the bank building as well as a few photographs.
“This is just wonderful to have and to know about the history of this building,” said Cedillo.
Just after 5:30, bank employees were joined by community members and the chamber staff as they posed for the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon.
“We are excited to be a part of Colusa,” said Eslick. ■
