Villaseñor honored for service

Colusa County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Miguel Villaseñor was recognized during the Dec. 13 Board Supervisors meeting for his 29 years of service to the citizens of Colusa County. Villaseñor will retire on December 31st. Lt. Villaseñor began his career as a Correctional Officer in 1987 and was Reserve Deputy Sheriff until he became full-time in 1991. During his career, he held many assignments including D.A.R.E. instructor, Detective, and co-founded the County’s first Gang Suppression Unit. Lt. Villaseñor promoted to Sergeant in 2000 and Lieutenant in 2007. He has worked in our Correctional Services Division and has been instrumental in leading the new jail project.
