Colusa Rotarian, Jim White stands proudly as the crowned 2017 Mr. Rotarian.

Each year the Colusa Rotarians invite the contestants of the Miss Colusa County Pageants to attend their weekly luncheon.

Last Tuesday the five contestants attended the luncheon where they practiced their speaking and communication skills.

“The girls held a Mr. Rotary Pageant where they taught the Rotarians how to walk, and they held a mock pageant,” said Devin Kelley, coordinator for the Miss Colusa County contest.

After the mock pageant, the Miss Colusa County contestants selected Mr. Jim White as the 2017 Mr. Rotary.

“The girls were well rehearsed on how to walk and turn,” said Colusa Rotarian, Jim White. “They did a great job instructing us on how to walk and how to escort them properly.”

White is one of the many Colusa Rotarians chosen during the Mr. Rotary Contest.

“The crown has been passed down from generations starting with Charles Yerxa,” said White.

Colusa Rotarians to participate were Brendan Farrell, Jonathan Howard, Winston Welch, Antonio Ortiz, and Jim White.
