Breakfast and lunch available for children this summer

Free meals for children will be available through the month of July at schools throughout the county. Meals are available for all children aged 18 years and younger and paid for by the Butte County Office of Education CalKidz Summer Food Program.

“All children are welcome during posted serving times,” said Julianna Roberts, Summer Food Program Manager. “No pre-registration or documentation is required.”

All meals must be eaten at the school site, no takeouts allowed. Locations and serving times are as follows:

Johnson Jr. High, 938 Wildwood Rd., Arbuckle, will begin serving June 9 through June 30, Monday through Friday, with breakfast served at 7:30 AM to 8:15 AM, and lunch served from 11:30 AM to 12:05 PM.

Education Village, 101 Marguerite St., Williams, will begin serving June 12 through July 21, Monday through Friday, with breakfast served at 7:27 AM to 8:10 AM, and lunch served from 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM.

Williams High School, 222 11th St., Williams, will begin serving June 12 through July 28, Monday through Friday, with breakfast served at 7:25 AM to 7:55 AM, and lunch served from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM.

Birchfield Primary, 400 Fremont St., Colusa, will begin serving July 10 through Aug. 3, Monday through Thursday, with breakfast served at 8:30 AM to 8:45 AM, and lunch served from 11:45 AM to 12:25 PM.

Maxwell Elementary School, 146 North St., Maxwell, will begin serving July 10 through July 28, Monday through Friday, with breakfast served at 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, and lunch served from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM.
