It’s Your Colusa County: Christopher McBride

Newcomer Williams resident Christopher McBride has spent just four months in his new surroundings.

“I like how close of a community Williams is and that my grandpa knows everyone,” said McBride.

McBride is a 2016 graduate of Willows High and grew up in Willows.

“I was born in Colusa, raised in Willows. Work and family brought me to Williams,” he said.

McBride spent a year volunteering for Glenn Medical Center and is currently employed at Colusa Casino Resort in the marketing department.

When not at work, McBride has several hobbies.

“I like photography, to keep a clean house, take drives, and to work. I am very interested in design and anything related to technology,” said McBride

Living on his own and supporting himself is something in which McBride takes pride.

“It has its challenges, but it’s a great sense of independence,” He said.

As a new Williams resident, McBride hasn’t had the opportunity to experience many town events, but so far Pioneer Day is his favorite.

“My favorite Williams event thus far would have to be Pioneer Day because the community gets together and celebrates their upbringing.”
