Tucker Michael Otterson – the 28-year-old Oregon City man and former Stonyford resident accused of multiple charges in connection with the unlawful killing of two cows Leesville-Ladoga Road on Feb. 9 – pleaded not guilty to all charges filed against him in Colusa County Superior Court last Wednesday.
Otterson surrendered himself at his arraignment on Aug. 2, after a warrant for his arrest was issued by the Colusa County District Attorney’s Office. Otterson was later released on his own recognizance.
He is charged with two felony counts of animal cruelty and felony grand theft for allegedly stealing the head of one of the animals, along with misdemeanor charges vandalism of private property, delaying a peace officer in their investigation, and hit-and-run causing property damage.
Wednesday marked his second appearance in court. Otterson is due back on Sept. 27 for the setting of his preliminary hearing.
