Six-year-old Reese Cunningham loves horses and animals.
“I love riding my horse, Hope, and being outside with all my animals,” said Cunningham. “I like living in Colusa because of the fair.”
Living with her mother Britney Cunningham in Colusa, she is active in youth basketball and is a first grader at Maxwell Elementary.
“I like basketball. I make baskets,” Cunningham said.
Cunningham is also an active participant in the Maxwell Rodeo in the walk trot and sheep riding events.
“The Maxwell Rodeo is my favorite event because I get to ride my horse,” said Cunningham. She plans on taking horse riding lessons in Yuba City, come fall.
Thinking about the future, Cunningham has her heart set.
“When I grow up, I want to be a veterinarian,” she said. “I want to be a vet because I get to watch my Uncle Leroy do surgeries.”
When asked who her role model was, Cunningham said, “My role model is my poppy (grandpa), Craig Womble.”■
