Bonnie Jean (Brown) Emery, Born at 431 6th St. Colusa on Sept. 14, 1933, eldest child of Alfred G. ‘Ted’ & Helen (Freed) Brown; passed away on Sept. 16, 2017 in Yuba City. Bonnie was a fabulous cook, gardener, reader, crossword puzzle solver (pen!) and font of Colusa history. The family wishes to send a heartfelt thanks to her devoted home caregivers, Rochelle Hetzell & Linda Cape; as well as to Joe & Kim Cheas and all the friends for the years of gab & laughter at the Donut Wheel.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wally; daughter, Lyn Marie (John) Stutz; Son, Daniel (Kristin) Emery, and beloved grandson, Kyle Emery. Bonnie is also survived by her aunt, Fern Freed Rogers; sister, Pat Brophy; brothers, Daryl (Carole), Ted (Alicia), Michael and Chris; sisters-in-law Roxanna Brown & Martha Armocido and many cousins, nieces, nephews and life-long friends. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents Alfred & Helen Brown and brothers Philip & Blair Brown.
Graveside services will be held at the Princeton Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 29 at 10:30 A.M.
