Bowling for Boobs returns Saturday

The annual Bowling for Boobs event is set for 10 AM on Saturday, Oct. 7, at Riverside Lanes in Colusa. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Colusa County Breast Cancer Fund.

“We’ll be donating 70 percent of the entry fees and 20 percent of the concession sales,” said organizers.

Lynda Silk, owner of Riverside Lanes invites everyone to team-up and show their support for the fight against breast cancer while having a great time.

“Dressing up in pink is highly encouraged, and prizes will be awarded for the best and the worst dressed,” said Silk in a sponsor letter. “We’ll even award prizes for bowling skills. It’s going to be fun, fun, fun!”

The cost is $25 per person and all are encouraged to bring a team, or join a team.

Those wishing to participate should register soon as spaces are filling up fast. To register, stop by Riverside Lanes at 420 Main Street, in Colusa, or call (530) 458-8866.

In addition to bowling fun, the event will feature raffle items and exciting prizes donated by supporters.

The Colusa County Breast Cancer Fund is managed by the Community Foundation of Colusa County with the mission to assist those battling breast cancer in Colusa County. The Colusa County Breast Cancer Fund provides services to Colusa County Breast Cancer Patients on an as needed basis.
