Applications are being accepted to display photography at the Colusa County Arts Council show scheduled for Jan. 21. The show, titled “Life through a Lens,” will be held at the Scout Cabin at Will S. Green Park in Colusa. There are amateur — beginner and advanced — and professional divisions. Categories include landscapes/nature, macro, special effects, architectural, still life, people and photojournalism. Each category is divided into black & white and color. Photos submitted must have been taken within the last two years. Photographers 18 or older from Colusa, Glenn, Butte, Sutter, Yuba and Sacramento counties are eligible. COLUSA FIREFIGHTERS CRAB FEED & DANCE
The Colusa Firefighters Association will hold its annual Crab Feed & Dance on January 21, 2012. Social hour begins with No-host Cocktails at 5:30 PM, Dinner begins at 6:30 PM. CITY OF COLUSA ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR VACANCIES ON UTILITIES COMMITTEE
The committee is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations to the City Council on public utility issues. The committee also provides oversight to ensure public utility funds are accounted for accurately and are properly spent. In addition to advising the City Council on utility issues, the committee is tasked with educating the public regarding utility planning, rates and other matters relating to utilities owned or operated by the city , including water and wastewater. The committee meets quarterly at 6 p.m. at City Hall with Special Meetings held on an “as-needed” basis. COLUSA CITY COUNCIL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF CITY MANAGER

SB 621 GRANT APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE
Grant applications are now being accepted on behalf of the Indian Gaming Local Community Benefit Committee. This funding is provided through SB 621 for applicants that are local government jurisdictions within Colusa County which are impacted by tribal gaming. Applicants may include law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services, water supplies, waste disposal, planning and adjacent land use, public health, behavioral health, roads, and recreation, youth programs and child care. PG&E OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) announced that its Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are accepting applications from aspiring college students for financial assistance through the groups’ scholarship funds. The scholarships will provide at least 100 university-bound students up to $3,000 each in aid for exemplary scholastic achievement and community leadership. All college-bound students living within PG&E’s Northern and Central California service area are welcome to apply.
