Couple robbed in McDonald’s parking lot

Three suspects are on the run following an altercation that later led to a robbery on Sunday night.

At about 7:26 PM, the Williams Police Department was dispatched to the McDonald’s west parking lot for a report of a robbery.

“It appears that the victims in a Mustang were being harassed by the suspects in the Honda,” said Sgt. Daniel Mata. “The male victim then got out of his car and confronted the individuals, that is when a male suspect got out the Honda and assaulted him with the handgun.”

Mata said that an altercation occurred and the victim suffered minor injuries.

“They stole cash and property from the victim and his passenger,” said Mata.

The suspects then fled the scene and were reported to have headed southbound on Interstate 5.

“At this time, all we know about the suspects is that they are described as Hispanic. Two male adults, and a female driver in a two-door silver Honda,” said Sgt. Daniel Mata of the Williams Police Department.■
