Notice is hereby given that the Statewide Direct Primary Election will be held in Colusa County on June 5, 2018, in accordance with the provisions of the Elections Laws of the State of California. Offices for which candidates will be nominated or elected at said election are (partisan offices) Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Controller, Treasurer, Attorney General, Insurance Commissioner, Board of Equalization District 2, United States Senator, U.S. Representative in Congress District 3, State Senate District 4, State Assembly District 3, State Assembly District 4, (nonpartisan) Superintendent of Public Instruction. County Offices: Superior Court Judge, Supervisor District 1, Supervisor District 5, Assessor, Auditor-Controller, Clerk-Recorder, District Attorney, Sheriff-Coroner, Treasurer-Tax Collector, Superintendent of Schools.
Nomination Petitions and Declaration of Candidacy papers may be obtained at the Colusa County Elections Office beginning on February 13, 2018 and must be filed in that office by the deadline of March 9, 2018, 5:00 p.m. The Colusa County Elections office is located at the Hall of Records, 546 Jay Street, Suite 200, Colusa, CA 95932. Nomination Petitions and Declaration of Candidacy papers must be filed by 5 p.m. March 9, 2018 at the Elections Office. Declarations of Candidacy will not be accepted after 5 p.m. on March 9, 2018 unless the incumbent does not file. In the event that the incumbent does not file, the filing deadline is extended five days to 5 p.m. March 14, 2018 for anyone other than the incumbent.
Notice is further given that the polling places for said election will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. All ballots cast in said election will be counted centrally at the Colusa County Elections Office, Clerk-Recorder Registrar of Voters, Hall of Records, 546 Jay Street, Suite 200, Colusa, CA 95932.
