A man was arrested in Colusa on Friday night after police say he attempted to stab another man on the 100-block of Market St.
According to Colusa Police Sgt. Eldon Tamez, officers were dispatched to the address at around 7 PM, in reference to a man brandishing a knife and an attempted stabbing. When officers arrived on scene, they spoke with the victim, who officers have not identified, and identified the suspect as, Terry Mann, 35, of Colusa.
“The victim claimed that Mann owed him some money, and they had gotten into an argument,” Tamez said. “During the argument, Mann tried to punch the victim and produced a silver, folding knife, and attempted to stab him. The victim was able to fend him off and ran from the area. During the altercation, Mann told the victim he was going to stab him.”
Tamez added that officers were later able to locate and arrest Mann at the Colusa Motel, which is across the street from the scene of the alleged crime.
Mann was arrested at around 9:18 PM, and booked into the Colusa County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, threatening a crime with the intent to terrorize – both felonies – and exhibiting a deadly weapon other than a firearm. He was booked into the Colusa County Jail, with bail set at $50,000. ■
