2018 Easter Weekend Events

A listing of Easter weekend events as reported to the Pioneer Review. 

Arbuckle Golf Club Easter Egg Hunt: will be held at the Arbuckle Golf Club, 9 AM on Saturday, March 31. Open to ages pre-school and under, kindergarten to 2nd Grade, and 3rd and 4th Grades. Refreshments will be served after the hunt.

Williams Community Easter Egg Hunt: will be held at Valley Vista Park in Williams on Saturday, March 31 at 10 AM. Sponsored by the Williams Community Church.

Colusa Assembly of God Easter Egg Hunt: will be held at the Assembly of God Church, 1747 HWY 20, Colusa on Saturday March 31. 11 AM to 1 PM. Bring the whole family. Prize giveaways, and free lunch.

Colusa Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt: will be held a the Colusa Fairgrounds on Saturday, March 31 at 9 AM. Pre-school thru 3rd grade invited. 2,400+ real eggs. Four age groups with prize Easter baskets for those that find a golden egg.

 

Easter service at the cross: The annual Easter Sunrise service at the cross west of Williams on King Road at Leesville Road starting at 6:00 AM on Sunday, April 16, Easter morning. Many local Christian Churches gather and celebrate their Christian faith while watching the sun rise over the Sutter Buttes.

Good Friday Observances: Colusa First Presbyterian will be open from 6:30 AM until 6 PM during Good Friday, Friday, March 30. During this time the church invites anyone to stop at the “Stations of the Cross” to contemplate what Jesus went through and what it means to us.  At Noon there will be a simple service to focus on his death.  The church is located at the corner of 4th and Jay Streets in Colusa.  If you have questions, call 458-2802.

Easter Sunrise Services: COLUSA – Presbyterian Church – The community is invited to a Sunrise Service on Easter morning to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. The service will begin at 6:30 AM, at the top of 10th Street in Colusa, along the Sacramento River.  This is a joint venture involving several local churches, featuring singing and the telling of the resurrection story, followed by donuts.  For more information, call Tom Tripp at 458-2802.
