Senior projects are a reflection of the student’s passions. Cameron Telford would like to invite everyone to the Colusa County Arts Council at 151 Fifth Street in Colusa.
The doors will be opened Thursday at 6 PM for the public to view images forever captured on film. Art on display will also be available for purchase. Telford, along with his brother Michael Hickel, and other artists will be selling their work. All proceeds will be donated directly to the Art Department at Colusa High School for the purpose of buying much needed supplies.
Sheryl Goodman, Telford’s mother, who is in charge of the stills for the upcoming Colusa County Fair, believes Telford’s eyes were opened by his art teacher, Jean Summerville. Goodman said, “He fell in love with the photography and that’s just what kind of started it with the senior project.”
For those interested in assisting Telford in his efforts to help bolster the arts, assistance is greatly appreciated. Patrons can donate to the Colusa County Arts Council. Donations must be noted specifically to Cameron Telford’s senior project. Additionally, artwork donations will also be welcomed.
Soon to follow, Telford intends on teaching an art class as the finishing component to his senior project. ■
