In a game that started looking one sided turned to be a tight match with a series of attacks and counter attacks. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā La Fortuna went out to an early and large lead of 14 points building a lead off a barrage of three pointers. Ā La Fortuna scored 18 of their first 22 points from behind the three-point line. Ā Ā Ā Ā However the Alsco Bulls went off on a 20-8 run closing the margin to just 2 right after the half. Ā Then La Fortuna went off on a 11-0 run to go up double digits again by 13, only to be followed by a Bulls run of 12-2. Ā This brought the game to a tight finish, a 3 point lead by Fortuna Ā with a minute to play. Ā After a series of tense misses Hugo Pineda hit his seventh trey of the afternoon to ice the game and win it for La Fortuna. Ā The win put them in a tie with H&R Block Savages for fourth place. Ā Huga Pineda led all scorers with phenomenal three point shooting, gaining all his points from seven three pointers and 21 points. Ā Also to be noted was Cory Madron for La Fortuna hitting consecutive 4 three pointers in the first half setting up the early lead and getting 16 Ā points. Ā Ā C Barerra led the Bulls with 15 points.
Fouch & Sons Redskins 67, Ā M&K Harvesting Fuzz 31
The Redskins found their stroke early in this game and continued to build a lead. Ā By the first half the count was 32-17 Fouch & Sons. Ā Then the Redskins got into high gear putting the game out of reach early in the second half going up as much as Ā 36 points. Ā Ā Ā The Fuzz were able to find shots but could not get them to fall for points. Ā David Basset of the Redskins led all scorers wtih 16 points and Ivan Maldanado led the Fuzz with 9.

While the game had a surprising start with the Vann Bros Young Gunz leading Ā near the halfway point of the first half, everyone, including the players were waiting for Swat to āgo offā. Ā And Swat did āgo offā , in their characteristic wide open game and some long range shooting. Ā After a 27-10 run, Swat was on ācruiseā and pulled off their fifth win of the season to stay 1 game behind the Hoosiers. Ā Swat was led by David Tapia with 14 points and the Young Gunz were led by F Hernandez, A Pina and Muniz all with 4 points.
CalFoods Hooisers 46, H&R Block Savages 35 Ā
In a rematch of last seasons finalists the California Foods Hoosiers matched up with the H&R Block Savages. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā The game was a back and forth match as the team alternated leads – the Ā Savages going up by 4, then the Hoosiers leading by 6, followed by the Savages leading by 2 and a following push by the Hoosiers to go up by 6 again. Ā Then the Hoosiers went on a 12-4 run at about the 10 minute mark of the second half. Ā Ā Ā Ā The absence of any inside play by the Hoosiers eventually found its way to the scoreboard as H&R pulled to within 5 points with just over 2 minutes to play. Ā But the Savages were not able to connect on any more baskets while the Hoosiers hit 2 three pointers and holding on to an 11 point victory. Ā Ā Ā Ā The low scoring contest was led by TJ Ellison of H&R Block with 19 points while the Hoosiers balanced scoring had Sal Durantes with 8 points, Margo Lievanos with 7 and Andy Corona, Mike Corona, and Brian Bodart with 6.
