Saturday, June 30 – Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Camp Tehama, at Mineral. If you enjoy fresh air, outdoor activities, campfires, swimming, crafts, and hiking, then this 4-H Camp is for you!!! 4-H members and friends are invited, Kindergarten through 8th grade. This is the grade you will be entering in the fall. K-3rd graders MUST have an adult chaperone. Parents are invited to attend as adult staff and will need to enroll, be certified and fingerprinted as 4-H Volunteer Leaders. Friends not enrolled in 4-H will need to enroll. Cost is $75.00 for campers & adult volunteer staff. Egling Middle School will be hosting a parent information night about CYBERBULLYING on Wednesday, April 18th, from 6:30-7:30 pm in the EMS cafeteria. Presenter will be Cindy DeWoody, Criminal Investigator from the Colusa County District Attorney’s Office. Recology and the City of Williams offer free monthly drop-off of electronic waste such as TVs, household batteries, fluorescent tubes and computers, from 9am to 2pm. The event is held the first Thursday of every month at the City of Williams Public Works Yard at 735 7th Street. There is a limit of 5 TVs or computers per visit. Do you know what car seat is right for your child? Do you know how to properly install your child’s car seat? Is your child safe in your car? Colusa County Public Health can help! Certified child safety seat technicians are currently offering classes that will answer all your questions. The cost of the class is $20 and may qualify low income families for a free car seat.
