On April 30, 2012, the Colusa County Chamber of Commerce held its’ annual dinner at the scenic Steelhead Lodge at Colusa Landing. This event was sponsored by the Colusa Industrial Properties, and Chief Executive Officer, Ed Hulbert. Colusa Industrial Properties were extremely generous and treated the 120 chamber members and their guests to an unforgettable, outstanding meal, in an outside dining area overlooking the Sacramento River. Adding to the success of the evening was the perfect weather at sunset, with just enough of a breeze to keep the mosquitoes away.

Dignitaries in attendance were State Senator Doug LaMalfa, State Assembly member Dan Louge, Dan O’Connell, Director, 44th District Agricultural Association, Colusa County Fair, Colusa Board of Supervisors Denise Carter, Tom Indrieri and Mark Marshall, Colusa County-County Council Tom Parker, Colusa Mayor Pat Landreth, City Council Members Kirk Kelleher and Tom Reische, Williams City Council Members Alfred Sellers, Jr., and Angela Fulcher.

There were several presentations to Ralph Newlin, Carolan Meek and Mike Murray by State Senator LaMalfa recognizing their service as serving on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce. It was noted that Ralph Newlin had served on the Board of Directors for 14 years since 1997. Each was also presented with a Certificate of Service by Chamber President Gary Teragawa.

Teragawa also recognized Colusa Industrial Properties for their service to the business community and the sponsoring of the 2012 annual dinner. Additional recognition went to the Colusa Casino Resort, Country Stop Market, Tommy’s Market Street Grill, Messick Hardware, and Bento’s Promotions for their sponsoring of the Colusa Western Days, Dutch Oven Cook-Off event put on by the Chamber of Commerce. Also recognized were the 2012 Dutch Oven Cook-Off Judges, Denise Carter, Ben Carter, Bud LaBanc, John Loudon, Dave Brady, Josh Ellersick, Norn Hunter, Kathy Craigo and Dave Bishop. ■
