The annual meeting and election of the Board of Directors of Colusa Regional Medical Center was held July 18. Current board members Brady Myers and Robert Kessinger were re-elected to serve a three-year terms. CRMC, Inc. members gathered in the hospital cafeteria for dinner and heard Dale Kirby, CEO, and the others on the management team give a “year-in-review” report indicating the hospitals challenges in controlling costs and increasing volumes in this poor economy. Kirby also highlighted the organization’s successes, especially their recent recognition by the federal government for achieving “Meaningful Use” status for the Electronic Medical Record system, and the hospital’s healthy year-end financial bottom line.
Myers addressed the members by thanking them on behalf of Kessinger and himself, saying, “Thank you for your confidence and support. Bob and I are honored to continue service to our community through Colusa Regional Medical Center. Since acquiring the hospital’s assets from its previous owner in 2001 and becoming a true community owned and operated hospital and health system, our board, the medical staff, the management team, and our employees have worked very hard to maintain CRMC as one of Northern California’s finest rural hospitals.” ■
