Colusa Bank Robbed – For Second Time

Colusa Police are searching for a man who robbed U.S. Bank around 4:58 p.m. on Friday, August 31.

The suspect entered the bank and approached one of the tellers at the counter. Handing over a small carry bag, the suspect, displayed a semi-automatic pistol and demanded the clerk to give him all the money from the cash drawer.

The teller complied, and the suspect then left the bank through a back entrance.

There were no injuries in the robbery.

The suspect described as a 50-year-old white male, six-feet tall, and approximately 180lbs with salt and pepper hair.

The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a burgundy button front shirt over a white t-shirt and a black ball cap with orange lettering.

The suspect made off undisclosed amount of cash.

Within minutes of the bank alarm, the Colusa Police and Colusa County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the bank.

Authorities searched the area; however, the suspect could not be located.

The local FBI office sent out an agent to assist in the investigation.

U.S. Bank is no stranger with bank robberies as the Colusa location was a target of a string of bank robberies in March of 2011. The suspect in that case, Michael Taylor of Chico was arrested and convicted of bank robbery in federal court.

Anyone with information pertaining to the Bank Robbery is asked to call the Colusa Police Department at (530) 458-7777.
