Mini-Miss Colusa County Deadline

Colusa County Mini Miss applications are now available, but the deadline is looming. Completed applications and a $60 entry fee must be returned to the Fair Office no later than 5 p.m. on April 5, 2012.

Applications are available at Colusa County Schools, at the Fair office and on the Colusa County Fair website.¬† ‚ÄúThe pageant is a wonderful way the girls to gain poise, self-confidence and to learn the valuable lesson of good sportsmanship,‚ÄĚ said Fair manager Susan Clark. It is open to contestants between the ages of 9 and 12 years of age. Contestants must not reach her 13th birthday on or before June 7, 2012. She must be a resident of Colusa County for at least six months prior to the pageant…

The applicant must also be a resident o the State of California for not less than one year prior to the opening date of the fair. The pageant will be held one night prior to the opening of the June 7-10 fair on Wednesday, June 6 at 7p.m. in the Grandstands. The newly crowned Miss Colusa County Mini-Miss will receive for her one-year reign a rhinestone tiara and sash as well as various gifts from local area merchants.

Each contestant will receive an award on stage for the areas of competition in which she scored the most points by the judges. In addition to crowning of the 2012 Miss Colusa County Mini Miss, the valued and meaningful award, ‚ÄúThe Friendship Award‚ÄĚ will be presented. ‚ÄúIt is certain that the recipient of the award realizes more than anyone the true depth of the award to the fact that the contestants are the only ones casting the votes for their choice of who should receive it.
