Supervisor Mark Marshall will run for re-election to the District 3 Supervisor seat. District 3 includes the City of Williams and surrounding unincorporated rural areas.
Marshall didn’t waste any time taking out papers to run. He  was at the Colusa County Courthouse early Friday morning to take out the forms.
First elected in 2000, Marshall has served three terms including three years as Board Chairman,  and he said he wants to go for a fourth term because the past returns have been extremely rewarding. “The people of Colusa County have been very supportive,” he said.
“I feel as if we have accomplished a great deal of positive things during my tenure as Colusa County Supervisor,” he said. “I want to continue the effort.”
Prior to being elected and for two years after taking the District 3 Supervisor seat Marshall held the position of Fire Chief for the Williams Fire Protection Authority, a position he served in for 15 years.
He resides in the City of Williams with his wife Nancy where they both are lifelong residents.
