Williams Mourns Loss of Firefighter

The small community of Williams is mourning the tragic and unexpected death of local firefighter Jefferson Donald Reavis.

Reavis passed way on April 4, 2012.

At 51 years of age, Reavis was a life long resident of Williams and an active member of the Williams Fire Department for over 22 years.

Born in March of 1961 to Dave and Carol Reavis, he shared his life with younger brother Mike and his sister Lisa.

As the community, friends and family mourn the loss of their beloved, a general sentiment is shared by all, “Jeff was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it; no matter the time of day.”

To many he was known as “Rev”, and to others he was the “Godfather”.

Reavis is survived by his two children, Andrew Reavis and Jessica Jackson of Carnation WA, Grandson Cody Matney, Parents Dave Reavis and Carol Reavis of Medford OR, Siblings Mike Reavis of Chico, CA and Lisa Allen of Medford OR, Nieces Natalie and Kellie Allen, Nephew Bradley Allen.

The Reavis Family would like to send their deepest condolences to the members of the Williams Fire Department, to whom were all The “Godfather’s” second family.

A memorial service will be held at the Williams Fire Department Friday, April 13th at 4:00 PM.
