Hoblit Motors and Pierce High School partner to raise $7,500 for Upgraded Athletic Facilities

IMG_8687Hoblit Motors, Pierce High School and members of the local community raised $7,500 for Pierce High School’s to upgrade the Football Bleachers and Snack Bar at a recent test-drive event, as part of Ford Motor Company’s Drive 4 UR School program.

More than 300 Arbuckle residents test-drove a Ford vehicle at Pierce High School on May 7th 2013. Hoblit Motors and Ford Motor Company donated $25, per driver, with funds going toward the schools Football Bleachers and Snack Bar.

Since the program’s inception in 2007, the Drive 4 UR School program has generate more than $16 million in donations for high schools nationwide. The money raised during the Drive 4 UR School program has helped ensure that extracurricular actives like sports and music programs continue in local communities despite budgetary constraints and funding cuts.

IMG_8686“I would like to thank everyone for coming out and helping us raise money for Pierce High School,” said Don Wayman, Hoblit Motors Sales Representative, “We are proud to announce that the event was a huge success, and we could not have done it without your support.”

Participants had the chance to take a fun, casual drive in one of fords lineup of vehicles that included: the Edge, Explorer, C-Max, Fusion, Flex, Focus, Taurus, Fiesta, Escape, Expedition, F150, F250 and the ever so popular Ford Mustang.

As community members drove some of the best ford models yet, they were lending Pierce High School students and its community a much-needed helping hand.

With state budget cuts and district cutbacks, it is imperative to schools to find creative ways to fundraise. With the partnership of Ford, together can make a difference in the communities they service.

Pierce Highs School intends on using the funds raised to upgrade the schools football bleachers and make much needed upgrades to the snack bar.

Hoblit Motors hosted a Drive 4 Ur School event in October, 2013 for Colusa High School, with a great success!
